Get to know the Person behind the camera
(and their favorite adventure buddy)
let's create memories as well as photos
Hey there! I'm Theoren, and my four-legged adventure buddy is Riley.
Although Riley makes a great model, he's no good with a camera--I on the other hand, have been shooting since high school. There's nothing I love more than producing images I can't stop staring at, and that's my goal for every shoot I do. I want to create family or pet portraits that make you swoon with every viewing, so that every time you look at them you get lost in the colors and emotion and love all over again.
I believe in the importance of creating meaningful experiences as well as images you can cherish. I want to get you and your loved ones--human or animal--out into the beautiful nature that surrounds us, and create amazing memories as well as beautiful photos.
My training is in photojournalism, which means I believe there is beauty and value in capturing life just as it is--in all its messy, unposed and spontaneous glory. During a family or pet portrait session with you it is my goal to foster an environment that is informal and in-tune with your vibe. I want you to feel free to be your perfect self, just as your are. Let me be the record keeper and story teller of your unique love as it unfolds in front of my camera.
Just so you know...
My name is pronounced "ther-rin" (rhymes with Sharon),
"Theo" for short
I'm non-binary and my pronouns are they/them

Riley is a 8-ish-year-old mystery mutt that I adopted from a shelter in North Carolina. He loves all things outdoors, especially off-leash hiking, cross-country skiing, swimming, and of course, chasing anything that moves.
I'm 30-ish-year-old human, who was born in raised in Kansas. I also love all things outdoors, especially hiking, cross-country skiing, paddle-boarding and rock or mountain climbing (the only thing I chase is Riley).
