Pet Portraits: Luna + Maddie

On a recent November evening, Shawnee Mission Park was blessed not only with beautiful autumn weather, but also with these two gorgeous gals, Luna and Maddie. An energetic cattle dog mix who is obsessed with playing fetch and a Texas-native nursing student, Luna and Maddie are the perfect low-key adventure buddies.

Luna and Maddie's pet portrait session started off with a game of fetch to let Luna get her wiggles out, then they spent some time walking on the path, frolicking in the long grass and snuggling. Although Maddie was little apprehensive about being photographed at first, she was able to quickly relax with her puppy in her arms. Luna needed a little coaxing to sit still, but once there were treats on offer, she was happy to turn her model mode.
